Pickard Signed Leach Hand Painted Red Yellow Gold Art Nouveau Poppies Cake Plate
Beautiful porcelain cake plate. Decorated with large hand painted Art Nouveau poppy flowers in red and pink with gold and black scrollwork over an ivory background. Signed by the artist Leach.Marked on the reverse in green France PM DE M Limoges. This is a whiteware mark used by P. M. Mavaleix in Limoges France between 1908 and 1914. Also marked WA Pickard China. This mark was used between 1903 and 1905.
Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks.
Measures approximately 11 3/4 inches wide.
This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
