This beautiful plate bears the white ware mark of
D.&Co.

The piece is hand painted and
signed VAN
on the front.
It is decorated with yellow roses and green foliage on
a cream and purple background. The round border is heavily
gilded.
The artist
VAN (ARTHUR R. VAN WICKLIN)
had his own China
Decorating Studio in
Chicago from 1915-1924.
The plate is
8 1/2" in diameter.
The condition is very good with
no chips, cracks nor repairs.
Some superficial scratches can be noticed on the gold.
